These small genuine NZ Greenstone Teardrop Earrings arrived here at ShopNZ for the same reason other products have - because one of you asked us to find it for them. It's something we love to do.
And these wee teardrops are lovable too. The earrings are made in New Zealand from genuine NZ pounamu, the greenstone sourced from the West Coast of the South Island.
We were asked for pounamu teardrop earrings less than an inch long. These ones are 3/4' long, or 2cm. The greenstone hangs from sterling silver hooks.
The Maori name for a teardrop shaped piece of jewellery is Roimata. Spiritually it understandably represents sorrow or grief, but in a positive way, as it represents a positive flow of energy that will heal, comfort and give strength. Lovely to wear at any time, but especially good to touch when the wearer is sad.
Proudly made in New Zealand, and shipped worldwide.
